Local Action Group
The Tyrrhenian Sea, Mountains and Villages GAL is a network of public-private partnership operating since 2016 along the Tyrrhenian coast and in the Sicilian hinterland, with the aim of promoting an integrated and sustainable development of the territory that includes stretches of sea, hills, and historic villages. Through strategies developed within the framework of the Rural Development Program and the LEADER interventions, the GAL supports initiatives that enhance local agricultural production, promote authentic tourist experiences, and protect the landscape and cultural heritage. Its action is aimed at promoting cooperation between municipalities, businesses, associations, and communities, facilitating access to funding, the start-up of new rural enterprises, the qualification of supply chains, and innovation in the artisanal and tourism sectors. In this perspective, the GAL aims to strengthen territorial identity, stimulate employment, and improve the quality of life in the areas involved, supporting a model of growth respectful of environmental resources and local traditions.
