Local Action Group
The GAL Valli del Golfo is a public-private consortium company that operates in the territories of the municipalities of Acate, Comiso, Gela, and Vittoria, with the aim of promoting participatory and sustainable local development, enhancing the environmental, cultural, agri-food, and tourist resources of the area. Born from a partnership between public entities and private subjects, the GAL implements territorial strategies through calls for proposals, projects, and activities that encourage innovation in local production chains, environmental protection, the promotion of experiential tourism, and the spread of digital culture, also thanks to its role as a sub-implementing body of measure 1.7.2 of the PNRR with the activation of digital facilitation points. Among its actions are events to promote the territory, cultural activities, and initiatives aimed at businesses and citizens, all part of an integrated vision of local development encapsulated in the "Green Valley" strategy, which guides the Local Action Plan 2023-2027.
