Federalberghi is the leading business organization in the tourism and hospitality sector in Italy. The association represents the needs and interests of hoteliers before institutions and political, economic, and trade union organizations.
Federalberghi represents over 20,000 hotel businesses, out of a total of approximately 32,000 in Italy, through 128 local associations. The organization is a founding member of Hotrec, the European Confederation of Hotels, Restaurants, and Bars, and is a member of Confcommercio, where it helped establish Confturismo.
Among its initiatives, Federalberghi has signed an agreement to renew the National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL) for tourism sector employees and is collaborating with Google to offer free digital marketing courses to hoteliers. Furthermore, the association promotes the entry of qualified young people into the sector through dual apprenticeships and has launched campaigns such as "Book Direct" to encourage customers to contact accommodation providers directly.
