Association
FIAVET (Italian Federation of Travel and Tourism Business Associations) is the leading trade association for travel agencies and tourism businesses in Italy.
Founded in February 1961, it has been operating for over 60 years, establishing itself as the most consolidated representation of Italian travel agents. The federation brings together 17 regional and supra-regional associations, covering the entire country and representing approximately 1,500 travel agencies and tour operators.
FIAVET is a member of Confcommercio Imprese per l'Italia and is a founding member of Confturismo, a confederation representing approximately three-quarters of the national tourism system with over 500,000 businesses. It is also a founding member of EBNT (Ente Bilaterale Nazionale Turismo).
The association is based on the values of solidarity, professionalism, and social responsibility. Among its commitments is the fight against child sex tourism, a principle enshrined in its bylaws.
