Association
Assoviaggi is the Italian Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies. It is a trade federation promoted and organized by Confesercenti to represent travel and tourism industry professionals, such as travel agencies, tour operators, and companies with similar activities associated with Confesercenti.
Tasks of the Association
Assoviaggi's main tasks include:
Representation and advocacy: It protects the interests of its member companies before European and national institutions (such as the Italian Government and Parliament) on crucial issues such as pricing policies (VAT and taxes), travel safety, credit facilities, and the integration of transport policies.
Collective bargaining: It represents companies in negotiating collective bargaining agreements for sector employees.
Tourism promotion: It encourages the organization of specific forms of tourism for young people and seniors.
Participation in trade fairs: It promotes participation, both collectively and individually, in tourism exchanges.
Professional Training: Supports the training and continuing education of travel agents, offering IATA ticketing courses (basic and advanced) and corporate marketing.
Insurance Agreements: Negotiates agreements for necessary insurance coverage, such as liability, surety bonds, and airline and rail ticketing.
Collaboration Support: Assists businesses in establishing consortia and purchasing groups.
Business Services: Promotes access to useful services such as the Euro Help Desk, credit, and social security assistance.
