Cappella di S. Anna nel Castello dei Ventimiglia

The Chapel of Saint Anne, also known as the Palatine Chapel, is located within the Ventimiglia Castle in Castelbuono and is one of the most important examples of Baroque art in the area. Built between the late 17th century and 1687, it was enriched with refined stucco decorations by masters Giuseppe and Giacomo Serpotta, who transformed it into a spectacular space of great artistic value.

The chapel houses the reliquary with the skull of Saint Anne, an object of profound veneration, and is closely linked to the history of the Ventimiglia family and the medieval castle that houses it. The combination of its decorations and its devotional function make the Palatine Chapel one of the most significant places in Castelbuono's historical and artistic heritage.
