Museo diocesano

The Diocesan Museum of Caltagirone is an exhibition space dedicated to the historical, artistic, and religious heritage of the local Church, housed within the monumental complex of the Friars Minor Conventual, the bishop's seat since 1911. The museum was founded with the aim of preserving and showcasing works from the Cathedral treasury, from churches within the diocese, and from buildings no longer used for worship.

The exhibition is divided into sections that include silverware, liturgical vestments, and a rich collection of paintings, sculptures, and other valuable works, including the famous Flemish panel "Throne of Grace." Through an immersive and thematic exhibition, the museum offers a journey through the history of faith and sacred art in the Caltagirone area.
