Museo archeologico "L. Bernabò Brea"

The Aeolian Regional Archaeological Museum "Luigi Bernabò Brea" in Lipari is one of the most important archaeological museums in Sicily, preserving a vast collection of artifacts from the Aeolian Islands and from excavations conducted in the area. Housed within the Lipari Castle complex, the museum recounts the history of the archipelago from prehistory to the Middle Ages through archaeological collections, ceramics, artifacts from necropolises, and evidence of the ancient civilizations that inhabited the islands. The museum also includes two separate sections on Filicudi and Panarea, dedicated to promoting the local archaeological heritage and understanding the diverse island communities of the Aeolian archipelago.
