Punta Tracino

Punta Tracino is one of the most interesting spots on the eastern coast of Pantelleria, where the island's volcanic landscape intertwines with a significant underwater archaeological heritage. The seabed preserves evidence of the area's long maritime history, with artifacts dating from the 6th-5th centuries BC to the Byzantine era, including amphorae and numerous stone, iron, and lead anchors. These relics reveal the presence and passage of vessels crossing the Mediterranean, making Punta Tracino a veritable underwater museum, where history and natural environment coexist in their original context.
