Museo civico della memoria e del presente "Gaetano Messineo"

The "Gaetano Messineo" Civic Museum of Memory and the Present in Petralia Soprana collects and showcases archaeological, historical, and cultural artifacts related to the Madonie region. The museum preserves artifacts primarily from the excavations of the Roman villa of Santa Marina, along with materials that recount the history and life of the communities that have inhabited the area over the centuries. Named after archaeologist Gaetano Messineo, the museum is an important space for preserving and disseminating local historical and archaeological heritage.
