The Museum of Byzantine and Norman Culture and Figurative Arts, established in 1997 and housed in the former 16th-century Benedictine Monastery, stands on an ancient Byzantine-Norman structure and was restored in the 1990s with enhancement projects. It occupies over 700 square meters of exhibition space.
The exhibition is divided into three main sections: Archaeology, with Roman and medieval artifacts; Byzantine-Norman Art, with valuable pictorial testimonies; and The Middle Ages in the Nebrodi Mountains, which documents the history and culture of the area through artifacts, images, and a rich coin collection. The outdoor area completes the exhibition with visible archaeological remains, connecting the museum to its historical context.
