The "Giro" is one of Europe's oldest and most prestigious road races, established in 1912. On July 26, 2025, the 99th edition will be held, featuring an elite 10 km race consisting of 10 laps of a challenging urban circuit winding through narrow streets, climbs, and corners of the medieval town centre. Complementary events include youth races, the Baby Run and the evocative "Vintage Race" for amateur runners dressed in period outfits. The event fuses competitive sport, popular celebration, and religious tradition in the picturesque Madonie town.
