The 44th Orestiadi di Gibellina (June 27 – August 3, 2025) revives a vision born in 1981: transforming the Belìce Valley into an open-air stage for contemporary arts. Under the artistic direction of Alfio Scuderi, the festival blends theatre, music, dance, visual arts, and site-specific installations across iconic venues: Baglio Di Stefano — the cultural heart of the Orestiadi Foundation — and Burri’s monumental Cretto, a concrete labyrinth covering the ruins of old Gibellina. With previews, official openings and special evening performances — including a reinterpretation of the Oresteia — the festival creates a powerful dialogue between memory, landscape, and creativity.
