ERROR Fest is an international social theatre festival debuting in Palermo, offering a radical and participatory artistic experience. Founded around 18 years ago in Bratislava, the festival brings fragile communities to the stage—migrants, former prisoners, people with disabilities, and those without homes—through socially engaged theatre. From December 12 to 14, 2025, Cre.Zi.Plus at the Cantieri Culturali alla Zisa in Palermo hosts the event. ERROR positions theatre as a transformative tool that normalizes diversity and elevates marginal experiences into collective ritual and creativity. The program includes performances, workshops, roundtable discussions, and shared meals, fostering direct interaction between artists and the wider community. A crowdfunding campaign supports the travel and accessibility of European theatre groups and ensures free admission for those who might otherwise be excluded. At its core, ERROR Fest seeks to activate theatre as a social rite—rewriting exclusionary narratives and building an inclusive "new normal" where life stories and artistic expression drive change.
