The Tindari Festival is one of Sicily’s most enduring and captivating cultural events, held every summer at the ancient Greek Theatre of Tindari and across surrounding towns in the Messina area. Since its founding in 1956, the festival has evolved into a multidisciplinary celebration featuring theatre, music, dance, contemporary circus, and site-specific performances.
Under the artistic direction of Mario Incudine, the program blends classical heritage with modern artistic expression, presenting national premieres, author concerts, literary readings, and gala nights. Each edition engages multiple municipalities, turning the territory into a shared cultural stage. A highlight of the festival is the “White Night of the Arts,” which transforms the town of Patti into an open-air theatre filled with performances, installations, and cultural experiences.
The Tindari Festival is more than a performance series—it’s a cultural movement that weaves together history and innovation, offering an immersive experience where ancient heritage becomes a living source of contemporary creativity.
