A weekend of meetings and discussions dedicated to this topic, in and from Sicily, aims to actively contribute to the international debate on tourism as a driver of sustainable change, focusing on the ethical, cultural, and environmental value of travel, also to encourage the extension of seasonality and combat emerging phenomena of overtourism. Objectives: Among the most anticipated and significant events for public and private sector tourism operators, a workshop with international buyers, and opportunities for meetings and discussions with a preview of the presentation to the national and international press, opinion leaders, teachers, and influencers of ETIC Eco Turismo in Comune. To: Enhance local communities by promoting inclusive and respectful tourism; Support local communities in fostering internalization processes; Focus on extending seasonality by orienting existing and new tourist flows; Reduce the environmental impact of the tourism sector (emissions, waste, use of resources); Stimulate internal and external mobility in transport, infrastructure, and services, with a focus on sustainability. Encourage tourists and operators to make more informed and responsible choices.
