Mandorlo in fiore

The 78th edition of the "Mandorlo in Fiore" festival in Agrigento, taking place from March 7 to 15, 2026, transforms the city into a blaze of pink and white petals. It is an event that celebrates the arrival of spring and the rebirth of nature, as well as the meeting of cultures and traditions from around the world. The first days begin with evocative moments at sunset in the Valley of the Temples, culminating with the lighting of the "tripod of friendship" at the foot of the Temple of Concordia, a symbol of unity and dialogue.

During the week, streets and squares such as Piazza Pirandello, Viale della Vittoria, and Piazza Cavour come to life: parades of folk, international, regional, and children's groups, decorated Sicilian floats, marching bands, and outdoor performances and performances at the Teatro Pirandello. Every day, alternative cultural offerings enliven the Palacongressi with the "Children of the World" Festival and folk performances, while in the evenings, themed events such as "Latin America" light up, along with street festivals and torchlight processions. Among parades and ceremonies, the grand finale on Sunday once again features the parade at the Valley of the Temples followed by the awarding of the prestigious "Golden Temple."

Alongside the main event, there are peace walks, interfaith events, and a large showcase of Sicilian crafts and gastronomy. Other initiatives include photography contests, food and wine stands dedicated to almonds, theatrical performances, and activities for schools.
