The monumental Palazzo Celestri di Santa Croce, also known as Palazzo Sant'Elia, is located in the heart of Palermo, overlooking the historic Via Maqueda. Currently the operational headquarters of the Fondazione Sant'Elia—an organization dedicated to the protection and enhancement of this building and the Loggiato di San Bartolomeo—the palace is a privileged venue for temporary exhibitions, cultural, musical, and literary events.
This project involved the purchase of technical and instrumental equipment, both digital and traditional, aimed at creating digital rooms and innovative exhibition setups. Thanks to this project, the Foundation is now equipped with cutting-edge equipment (such as permanent video projectors and multimedia equipment), expanding its expressive capabilities and enabling immersive experience of its artistic and cultural heritage.
The €20,000 budget was successfully reached, allowing the project to be fully operational. The organization will thus be able to experiment with modern exhibition formats, with stable and accessible technological tools, fostering a new form of communication between art and the public.
This project represents a significant step in the cultural enhancement of Palazzo Sant'Elia: no longer just static exhibition spaces, but dynamic, adaptable spaces aligned with the needs of a contemporary audience. Thus, the monument confirms its role as a meeting place and cultural hub, open to new languages and formats, capable of engaging diverse audiences, from art enthusiasts to technologists, from the local community to international visitors.
