The Musikante Cultural Association, founded in 2008, is today a key player in the Sicilian cultural landscape, with a strong aesthetic focus on jazz. As part of the three-year project called "Percorsi Jazz," supported by the Ministry of Culture for the period 2025–2027, Musikante has launched a fundraising campaign through Art Bonus to support its institutional activities throughout 2025.
The project's scope includes a vibrant program of cultural initiatives spread across the Etna area and the province of Catania: festivals such as Battiati Jazz Festival, Gravina in Jazz, Jazz 'Round Etna, Jazz Day celebrations and music awards; original productions with groups such as Etna in Jazz Orchestra and Triton Jazz Trio; and a wide range of educational activities aimed at secondary school students and young musicians under 35. These activities are complemented by workshops, laboratories, collaborations with schools and conservatories, and national projects such as "Jazz Takes The Green" and "Italia Jazz & Wine."
Art Bonus support aims to guarantee free or discounted access to events, cover organizational, artistic, and logistical costs, strengthen communication, and develop new projects rooted in the local community. 2025 represents a strategic moment for the association: the start of the three-year FUS period strengthens its cultural identity and its mission of musical promotion, social inclusion, sustainability, and the development of young talent.
