The "Lidia Togni Festival" is an artistic and cultural event promoted by a historic Italian circus institution, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2020. The beneficiary organization is Canestrelli Vinicio's Lidia Togni Festival, in the "Traveling Circuses and Shows" category. The event includes a special promotional evening, aimed at highlighting young international talent, as part of the "Contaminazioni Spettacolari International Magic and Circus Festival" series, which will take place in the evocative setting of Milazzo Castle on August 12 and 13, 2023. The event also features a collaboration with the Immaginifico Errante Association and is sponsored by the Municipality of Milazzo.
The project is part of the circus's regular activities, but with a special component: offering a showcase for emerging talents in circus, magic, and entertainment more generally, in a historical and artistic context that enhances the Milazzo area. The fundraising campaign, already underway, aims to cover the total cost of organizing, promoting, logistics, and staging the event.
Although the event has already been scheduled, no donations have yet been received nor payments made for the project. The goal is therefore to raise awareness among potential patrons so they can contribute to its success. The festival represents not only an opportunity for cultural entertainment, but also a moment of social cohesion, promoting the Sicilian region and the performing arts, especially in less mainstream fields such as international circus and magic.
This event aims to strengthen the artistic vocation of the Milazzo Castle, engaging artists, local audiences, and visitors, offering original and high-quality experiences that enhance the surrounding cultural and architectural heritage.
