Stagione Teatrale 2025/26 Nuovo Teatro Scaletta

Messina (Messina), Sicilia

Description

The Nutrimenti Terrestri Cultural Association, recognized by the Ministry of Culture as a "historical organization" in the Italian theater scene, is promoting the 2025/26 Nuovo Teatro Scaletta Theater Season project. The initiative will take place at the Nuovo Teatro Scaletta, inaugurated in December 2024 in Scaletta Zanclea, within the Metropolitan City of Messina. The venue holds strong symbolic value as it was rebuilt after the dramatic flood of 2009, which caused extensive damage and loss of life.
The theater season, scheduled from October 2025 to May 2026, offers a program of 12 shows spanning diverse genres: comedy, musical theater, and productions of civic engagement. The performances will feature nationally renowned actors, authors, and directors, helping to make high-quality cultural offerings accessible to local audiences, despite their remote location.
Special attention is given to training and theater production, key elements for nurturing the artistic growth of new generations and encouraging active community participation. The goal is to strengthen the bond between citizens and the local area, enhancing the social function of theater as a tool for cohesion and dialogue.
The project has a total cost of €25,000, to be funded through donations under the Art Bonus program. To date, no donations have been received, but the launch of the fundraising campaign aims to engage citizens, businesses, and supporters committed to the protection and promotion of culture.
Supporting the Nuovo Teatro Scaletta's Theater Season means investing in a vibrant and resilient community, offering the area not only quality performances but also opportunities for social, educational, and cultural growth.
