Description

The Otium Cultural Association, active in Marsala since 2013, is proposing "BookJazzClub 2025," a project that combines live music, historical heritage, education, and community. The fundraising campaign, launched through Art Bonus, aims to create a series of events that combine concerts, cultural tours, and youth participation, all aimed at enhancing the local area through quality artistic experiences.
The project encompasses three main areas: first, the Mozia Festival, which will be held in early September in the enchanting archaeological setting of the island of Mozia, featuring performances by musical duos, offering an intimate experience in a place rich in historical and scenic charm. Then, "Autumn Concerts," a series of events for schools, with programs designed specifically for young people, held in theaters or other equipped facilities, to promote musical culture as an educational tool. In parallel, musical evenings for adults will be organized at the Otium headquarters, with programs that focus on both artistic research and conviviality.
The main objectives include: promoting live music among all age groups, fostering connections between schools and the community, making musical art accessible by highlighting cultural sites like Mozia, and encouraging active audience participation.
The estimated cost is €15,000.00, the sum needed to cover all aspects of the project: artists' fees, logistical and technical organization, communication, and out-of-pocket expenses for venues and materials. To date, no donations have been received, but the campaign is ongoing and is aimed at citizens, businesses, or organizations interested in supporting cultural initiatives with impact on the local community.
