Catania's Teatro Stabile is a cultural institution with over sixty years of history, recognized as a "theater of significant cultural interest," with a strong commitment to the production and distribution of performances, theatrical activities, and training. The organization aims to consolidate its public role as a space for artistic creation and cultural dissemination, while also strengthening its ties with the local community, particularly with younger generations.
The "Young Audience Training" project aims to promote theater culture among younger citizens. This series of initiatives, including meetings with artists and theater workshops, aims to bring the theater closer to emerging audiences, raise awareness among young audiences, and foster an active and participatory relationship with the performing arts. The planned activities will also offer students academic credits, complementing their academic studies with practical theater experience.
These training programs will be aimed not only at students, but also at aspiring actors and interested parties in general, to enable them to acquire more advanced technical and artistic skills in theater. The goal is to rejuvenate theatergoers, encourage participation, develop new audiences, and foster a greater understanding and appreciation of theater as a living art form.
The project is modestly costly, but it represents a strategic investment: with relatively limited funding, it is possible to launch activities with a high social, educational, and cultural impact. The project is in its implementation/fundraising phase and is open to contributions, so that the necessary resources can be raised to launch and carry out the planned activities.
