The Noto City Concert Association (ETS) is a cultural organization founded in September 1975 by Noto musician Corrado Galzio. Its original mission was to spread musical culture in the Val di Noto area by promoting the training and development of young musicians. Over the years, the association has steadily expanded its activities, becoming a hub for the city's cultural life. Today, it celebrates its fiftieth anniversary with a highly prestigious program.
The 2025 program includes the organization of approximately twenty-five concerts, which will take place in Noto's historic and artistic sites, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, with the aim of enhancing its cultural heritage through music. The season will be divided into two main segments: the winter season at the "Tina Di Lorenzo" Theater, with classical and jazz concerts, and the Notomusica 2025 International Festival, which will be held during the summer in the city's most evocative locations.
The program will feature major international names, such as Al Di Meola, the Janoska Ensemble, Richard Galliano with the Sicilian Jazz Orchestra, Danilo Rea and Luciano Biondini, Stefano Bollani, and Simona Molinari. The inauguration will feature a major musical performance, the celebrated "West Side Story." Alongside established artists, there will also be a spotlight on young talent, particularly Sicilian ones, offering performance opportunities and collaborations with conservatories and musical institutions.
Special attention will be given to young audiences and schools, with music education initiatives, open rehearsals, dedicated performances, and masterclasses, such as a clarinet masterclass led by Maestro Joe Christophe. The project thus strengthens the connection between music and the local area, contributing to the cultural growth of the community and consolidating Noto as a leading artistic center nationally and internationally.
