FestiValle is a boutique festival designed to showcase the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, a UNESCO World Heritage site, through a multisensory experience where jazz music and digital arts blend with the extraordinary beauty of the Sicilian landscape. Organized by young people passionate about culture, art, and music, the festival was created to bridge a cultural gap in geographically disadvantaged areas, while also stimulating significant tourism.
The 2024 edition featured four days of concerts and artistic performances, set in evocative locations. It began with live performances at sunset in the Kolymbethra Garden, immersed in the scents of citrus and overlooking the Temple of Castor and Pollux. It continued with an intense evening on the main stage, at the foot of the Temple of Juno. After dusk, the afterparty took place on San Leone beach, amidst luminous architecture and atmospheric sounds. Finally, a dawn performance overlooking the Temple of Concordia sealed the experience, in a joyful ritual where the first rays of light caressed the Doric columns.
The program featured over 18 exclusive shows, featuring internationally renowned artists: from the Turkish sounds of Altin Gün, to the groove of American producer Moodymann, jazz star Richard Bona with the Alfredo Rodríguez Trio, the ancestral energy of Ebo Taylor and his family band, the electronic offerings of James Holden, the atmospheric sounds of João Bosco, the innovation of Kassa Overall, the dynamism of Belgian Echt!, and more.
The project, with an expected cost of €10,000, saw a fundraising campaign that closed with a contribution of €3,000 and a total expenditure of €4,500. The initiative contributed to the cultural and economic promotion of the area, offering a unique experience in places of extraordinary historical and natural value.
