The Accademia Palermo Classica, active since the early 2000s, has consolidated its position as a leading concert organization committed to promoting musical culture in Italy. Since 2011, it has organized the Palermo Classica International Festival, offering high-quality artistic performances in prestigious historical settings each summer. This year, the festival is primarily hosted at the Steri Monumental Complex thanks to a collaboration with the University of Palermo.
The beating heart of the festival is the Palermo Classica Symphony Orchestra, composed of 60 musicians: an ensemble that represents a concrete opportunity for professional growth for young local talent. The festival is also a stage for emerging and established performers, combining tradition and innovation through curated and engaging programming. With over 450 concerts and more than 200 performances throughout Sicily, the festival has emerged as a true cultural movement, capable of satisfying the expectations of a dynamic and digitally connected audience.
This special edition celebrates the festival's 15th anniversary, offering an immersive experience that combines symphonic concerts, piano recitals, chamber music, and opera with evocative visuals and scenography. The initiative aims to create moments that transcend the everyday, offering audiences a fleeting suspension of time, enriched by the most sublime harmonies and evocative atmospheres.
With the fundraising campaign now open, the €300,000 goal supports the production of this special edition and renews the Academy's commitment to promoting great music in the heart of the city. Participating in the project means helping to keep alive an ever-evolving cultural tradition, strengthening the bond between art, community, and the region.
