The project concerns the Grifeo Municipal Cinema and Theater in Petralia Sottana, a facility with approximately 180 seats, currently in good overall condition, which plays an important role in local cultural life. The specific objective is to enhance the theater's artistic lighting system, improving stage and performance lighting for artistic activities, screenings, performances, and all cultural events hosted there.
The project involves installing or replacing lighting fixtures, wiring, and targeted fixtures with more efficient technology, perhaps LED, to achieve better scenic effects, reduce energy consumption, and improve visibility for both artists and audiences. Aesthetic as well as functional aspects will be evaluated: the direction of the light, the ability to adjust intensity and color based on different uses, electrical safety, and ease of maintenance.
With an estimated total cost of €7,710.00, the fundraising campaign is open and the project is in the implementation phase, ready to begin as soon as the necessary funds are raised.
This upgrade is not just a technical intervention; it strengthens the theater's role as a public space dedicated to culture and community. A more effective lighting system can improve the audience experience, enhance artistic productions, allow for higher-quality performances, attract new businesses, and foster local participation.
Furthermore, by improving the theater's visibility and attractiveness, the project also contributes to the cultural promotion of the Madonie region, making the Cine-Teatro Grifeo a hub for events, performances, and cultural gatherings.
