Local Action Group
The Terra Barocca Local Action Group is a public-private partnership established to promote innovative and integrated local development in the southeastern area of the province of Ragusa, including the municipalities of Modica, Ragusa, Ispica, Scicli, and Santa Croce Camerina, operating according to a participatory "bottom-up" model. Through its Local Action Plan funded under the Rural Development Program of Sicily, the GAL supports the enhancement of the agricultural, cultural, and tourist resources of the area, promoting the export of typical products, responsible tourism, and the strengthening of local identity. With a multisectoral approach, Terra Barocca encourages cooperation among institutions, businesses, and communities, promoting projects that improve quality of life and generate sustainable development in the area, consolidating the link between rural economy, culture, and the Baroque landscape.
