Local Action Group
The GAL Natiblei is a non-profit cooperative company founded in 2009, with the aim of promoting the local development of the inland areas of high Sicily, including municipalities in the provinces of Siracusa, Ragusa, and Catania. Thanks to a broad partnership - with public and private partners such as local authorities, industry associations, and producers - the GAL implements participatory strategies funded by the Rural Development Program of Sicily (PSR) and the EAFRD. Its activities focus on territorial animation, technical-administrative support for rural projects, strengthening of short supply chains, sustainable tourism, and digitalization of the territory, as demonstrated by the activation of Digital Facilitation Points within the PNRR. This integrated action aims to enhance rural and cultural resources, promote cooperation among local actors, and create new job opportunities in the Iblean territory.
