Local Action Group
The GAL Peloritani is a limited liability consortium company established in 2009 with the aim of promoting integrated, sustainable, and participatory development of the mountainous and coastal area of the Peloritani, in the province of Messina. Rooted in a public-private partnership, the initiative aims to enhance local natural, cultural, and agricultural resources through the strengthening of territorial supply chains, responsible tourism, innovation projects, and interventions for social cohesion. The GAL operates by stimulating collaboration between institutions, businesses, associations, and local communities, accompanying the definition and implementation of territorial growth strategies, promoting the creation of micro-enterprises, supporting the digitalization of services, and fostering the regeneration of villages, with the intention of consolidating cultural identity, combating depopulation, and improving the quality of life in the entire area.
