Local Action Group
The GAL Gulf of Castellammare is a public-private partnership established to promote the integrated and sustainable development of the area between the coastal and hilly municipalities overlooking the homonymous Sicilian gulf. Through a participatory strategy, the GAL supports the enhancement of maritime, agricultural, cultural, and landscape resources, promoting local supply chains, responsible fishing activities, agritourism, and innovative tourist services. Its intervention materializes in shared territorial animation paths, assistance in project design and access to RDP funds, as well as in the creation of networks among businesses, administrations, and communities. The main objective is to strengthen the territory's identity, increase employment, especially among young people, and improve the quality of life, encouraging a careful management of new opportunities and a harmonious growth between land and sea.
