The GAL Valli del Belice is a public-private partnership born with the aim of promoting sustainable development of rural and inter-municipal communities in the southwestern area of Sicily. Operating in a territory marked by challenges related to depopulation, infrastructural fragility, and the need to revitalize local economies, the GAL proposes a participatory model that involves administrations, businesses, associations, and citizens in the shared definition of growth strategies. Through thematic calls and targeted interventions, it supports the enhancement of agricultural supply chains, innovation in production processes, the promotion of experiential tourism, and the protection of environmental and cultural heritage. Its activities include territorial animation services, assistance in project design and access to funds, promotion of cooperation and digitalization, with the aim of stimulating new businesses, revitalizing villages, creating job opportunities, and strengthening territorial identity. The GAL Valli del Belice aims to promote balanced growth, respectful of natural resources and local traditions, improving the quality of life of the communities involved.
