Consortium
The Consortium "Culture and Traditions of the Castles of Sicily" was founded with the aim of enhancing and promoting the vast historical, artistic, and cultural heritage represented by the island's medieval castles. The result of collaboration between several Sicilian municipalities and cultural organizations, the Consortium is a nonprofit organization committed to restoring the centrality of these extraordinary architectural testimonies, linked not only to the memory of the Middle Ages but also to the social, economic, and territorial life of Sicily.
Through cultural events, research activities, tourism promotion initiatives, and shared projects, the network of castles becomes a tool for sustainable development, community cohesion, and the revitalization of the surrounding rural and urban areas. Each castle is not just a monument, but a hub of identity capable of generating culture, attractiveness, and opportunity.
Headquartered in Castelbuono, the Consortium continues to grow, involving more and more local entities and strengthening the awareness that the Castles of Sicily are not only a memory of the past, but also a driving force for the future.
