Parco dei Nebrodi

Park

The Nebrodi Park, the largest of the protected areas in Sicily, has grown over time and since its establishment has paid particular attention to the world of schools and its young hikers with the aim of promoting a culture of respect for the environment and the safeguarding of biodiversity. Since October 1996, when the program agreement was signed between the Ministries of the Environment and Public Education, the Park has wanted to make this document its own, encouraging institutions to provide suitable tools for in-depth study to school operators and to offer opportunities for "direct" knowledge of natural places. Based on this agreement, which foresees a progressive enhancement of guided tours in protected natural areas, the Park has embraced this challenge and has continued to offer educational packages structured around new educational opportunities: educational tools, educational sheets for managing Environmental Education projects, training courses and updates for teachers, internships.
