Ortigia Music Festival, formerly known as Ortigia Sound System, is a cutting-edge electronic music event held on the historic island of Ortigia in Syracuse. Running from July 31 to August 3, 2025, the festival turns ancient squares, historic markets, and urban spaces into vibrant stages for DJ sets, concerts, and boat parties both on land and at sea. The line‑up features internationally acclaimed artists such as Modeselektor, Max Cooper (live AV), DJ Stingray 313, Elkka, and Tatyana Jane, alongside emerging Italian and local talents. One of the standout venues is the Antico Mercato, hosting the opening night, with later events at Varco 23 and the Epipoli stage operating until dawn. Daytime beach showcases at the Lido include co‑curated sessions with local record store Malamore.
