Local Action Group
The GAL Nebrodi Plus is a public-private partnership established to promote the sustainable development of the Nebrodi territory, one of the largest and most biodiverse areas in Sicily. Bringing together over forty municipalities, the GAL operates with a participatory approach to enhance local resources, support rural entrepreneurship, and counteract depopulation in inland areas. Its activities focus on promoting sustainable tourism, innovation in agricultural and agri-food chains, the recovery of cultural and natural heritage, and the creation of new job opportunities, especially for young people. Through integrated projects and local development strategies, the GAL aims to strengthen territorial identity, improve quality of life, and promote a transition towards more equitable, digital, and environmentally friendly economic models.
